Terms and Conditions - Iren Gjøse

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services, courses, bookings, and products provided by Iren Gjøse via ireng.no to consumers. By placing an order or completing a booking, you agree to these terms.

2. About Our Products & Services

  • We sell made-to-order/custom items, antique and pre-owned sewing items and accessories, creative courses and gift cards. We also provide consultations in areas around design, fashion and clothing.

  • Product photos and descriptions aim to be accurate, but variations in color, texture, and signs of age/wear may occur, especially for vintage/antique items.

 

3. Orders & Payment

  • Prices are shown in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include VAT where applicable.

  • Payment is due at checkout using Vipps or other available payment options unless otherwise agreed.

 

4. Course Registration and Consultations

  • Our courses are based on physical attendance in the studio or rented venue, and we have very few spots per group to ensure everyone gets proper help. Registration is therefore completely binding. There are no refunds, rescheduling, or follow-up if you are unable to attend one or several classes. For consultations, a cancellation notice must be given at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, full payment for the appointment is required.

 

5. Made-to-Order / Custom Work

  • Custom or made-to-order items are produced specifically for you based on measurements, material choices, or specific agreements.

  • Production times may vary and will be confirmed when your order is accepted.

  • Cancellations or major changes requested by the customer during the production process may incur charges for labor hours already spent and material costs incurred.

 

6. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards issued by Iren Gjøse are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and can be used to purchase available products, custom work, or courses.

 

7. Shipping & Delivery

  • Shipping costs and available delivery options are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates.

 

8. Returns & Right of Withdrawal

  • Made-to-order / Customized items: These items are produced to your specifications and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds, in accordance with the Norwegian Cancellation Act (Angrerettloven § 22).

  • Antique & pre-owned items: These items are sold as-is. Normal wear and signs of age are not considered faults. We normally do not offer exchanges or returns for these items.

  • Standard items / Digital Gift Cards: For standard, non-customized products or unused digital gift cards, a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies from the date of purchase.

 

9. Faulty or Misdescribed Items (Reklamasjon)

  • Antique and pre-owned items are sold as-is. Signs of age, wear, and minor flaws are expected and are not considered faults. If an item has a major fault not mentioned in the description, contact us with photos. We will offer a repair, replacement, or refund in line with Norwegian law.

  • This does not cover damage from normal use, incorrect washing, or poor maintenance.

 

10. Privacy Policy (GDPR)

  • We process personal data (name, email, phone number, billing/shipping address, order details) to handle your order, provide customer service, and comply with legal obligations.

  • We share data only with service providers needed to run the store (payment providers, shipping carriers, and Wix as our website platform) and only as necessary.

  • We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law (e.g., accounting). You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
