About Iren Gjøse

With childhood in Lofoten and Rogaland, Iren Gjøse has a strong connection to Norwegian nature, tradition and cultural heritage. This influences the work and the expression. Working with textiles has been part of the family history for at least five generations. Knowledge, curiosity and respect for materials through heritage and environment continue to influence the work today.

Iren Gjøse works primarily with carefully selected vintage and antique textiles, and otherwise with modern quality fabrics in natural fibres.

The customer base includes both businesses and private individuals, and is as broad as all parts of the population. It can be you who wants a suit or outfit as a lasting basis in a wardrobe, a future bride or groom, someone who wants a handmade bunad, or a company looking for expertise in clothing design and pattern construction. It can also be you who wants guidance for your own wardrobe or style.

Good craftsmanship, knowledge of materials, considered design and an eye for unique textiles through experience, form the basis for garments that are tailored to you. Good and lasting garments cost less for you and for the environment in the long run.
